The more leadership a person has, the quicker they recognise leadership — or lack thereof in others. Leaders naturally take charge, they think about direction and strategy and whom to take with them.

There are tentative steps at first, but once they know, like and trust you as the strongest leader, then followers follow.

There are seven aspects that a leader needs to embody to realise followers.

Respect — They need to respect themselves first and their associates.

Exceed — Leaders who earn the respect of others go above and beyond the call of duty, they fight to achieve the victory and they take their tribe on the journey with them.

Stand — It takes a strong conviction to act and not waver and follow through. Followers, follow the leader with conviction and willing to get their hands dirty.

Possess — Leaders with respect acknowledge the credit where credit is due. They are secure and mature within themselves to give as much of themselves as they can.

Experience — Leaders need to experience some version of their success to help others.

Contribute — Leaders contribute the resources and leadership to increase the chances of a win.

Think — A leader with strategy and vision asks, plans then plays.
