Others, like the sea snake, have adapted to an altogether different environment than most snakes by evolving their capacity to swim and hunt underwater.

However diverse and adaptable they are, snakes are currently under a lot of threat in our society. Among the difficulties these intriguing creatures face are habitat loss, climate change, and human persecution.
