Abortion is a hard choice that should exist.

The recent news of USA criminalizing abortion made me go down the memory lane when I had to make a choice.

Making a decision to go for an abortion is a hard choice. They are not similar to choosing between two career options or making a choice between two cities to live or even choosing between two people you wanted to marry. In these situations you have an alternative better option.

Making a choice to abort your unborn child or not is hard not because of ignorance, but because there is no better alternative option.

You cannot flip a coin to decide between the two options.

I have faced this situation with my first pregnancy and it was agonizing and heart wrenching to choose to not go with it. It broke me and my partner in more than one way and we healed ourselves after committing to the one single path that seemed the best way to move forward.

We are dynamic beings who cannot be pinned down to certain roles that have defined us since birth.

It baffles me to see that there is even a remote possibility of having a debate over this.
