A Poem

This was written during a very difficult time in my life. Please enjoy.

What do you do when you can not find what you need?

What do you do when there is no chance at happiness?

No chance at peace

You only find loneliness in your search for love

Captivating souls that send you spiraling

For the world is not yet your oyster

You are just a child

Going back and forth

Between two unproductive visitors

Aching to be set free

You are lost in a field of desire

Not knowing what you are longing for

Searching for what was

Scared of what could be

You have no sense of compassion

In a world with no empathy

Trials and errors have come and gone

Senseless acts of those near and far

Throbbing bones shattering hearts

Meaning nothing more than an average Tuesday

As you sit and wonder of the years to come

Marvel at the girl you once were

Maybe you will not find what you need — -or her

Rather what needs you….
